1. New Features

Jabra Elite 7 Active

The Jabra Elite 7 Active now features Mono Mode, which gives you the freedom to use each earbud individually. This is great for certain situations where you have to use your earbuds but they are running out of battery, letting you charge one side while you use the other.

Jabra Elite 7 Active also now features Jabra’s new ShakeGrip technology. This is a special coating made out of a Liquid Silicone Rubber compound that gives the earbuds a texture that feels remarkably soft while also providing the ultimate grip that securely fits in your ear. These make them even better for long periods of active use without fearing it dropping out during your workouts.

2. Design & Fit

Jabra Elite 7 Active

At the onset, you will see a stark difference between the design & fit of the two models.

Firstly, the charging case. The Jabra Elite 7 Active case is slightly bigger and the way the case opens from the middle makes it not as tactile as the Jabra Elite Active 75t, where you can easily flip open the case with one hand.

The Jabra Elite 7 Active earbuds have a slimmer profile overall that makes them easier to fit in your ears. If you currently find the Jabra Elite Active 75t too bulky for your ears and it causes discomfort after several hours of use, you might want to consider switching up.

That said, if the Jabra Elite Active 75t currently fits you perfectly, changing to the Jabra Elite 7 Active might not be the most ideal for you. With its smaller form factor, you might find the fit to be a little loose and not fully cover your ears. So based on this factor, you would be the best judge to gauge based on your current experience with the Elite Active 75t.

3. Sound & Performance

Comparing sound quality, both earbuds perform generally well but there is no distinct improvements in sound quality with the newer Jabra Elite 7 Active.

Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) is definitely more prominent in the Jabra Elite 7 Active, giving you a better listening experience. This might be generally attributed to the fact the ANC was rolled out to the Jabra Elite Active 75T via a firmware update, whereas it is already built-in to the Elite 7 Active.

When it comes to calling quality, things get a little iffy. The Jabra Elite 7 Active is designed with a mesh covering the microphone port to technically help improve clarity during phone calls by reducing wind noises. However, despite that, the Jabra Elite Active 75T generally performed better in noisy environments with a greater reduction of background and wind noises.

4. Battery & Power

Jabra Elite Active 75T

The Jabra Elite 7 Active gives you 8 hours of battery life and up to 30 hours in total with the charging case. This is a huge improvement over the 5.5 hours and 24 hours in total respectively in the Jabra Elite Active 75T.

Both earbuds have roughly the same charging time with the Jabra Elite Active 75T taking 140 minutes and the Jabra Elite 7 Active taking 150 minutes for a full charge.

Fast Charge is remarkably faster in the Jabra Elite 7 Active, taking 5 minutes for up to 1 hour of playback while the Jabra Elite Active 75T takes 15 minutes.

The Jabra Elite 7 Active comes equipped with wireless charging, while the standard model for the Jabra Elite Active 75T does not but you have the option for a wireless charging version.

Overall, the Jabra Elite 7 Active provides better performance for day-to-day use with its superior battery specs.

Final Thoughts

It isn’t really much of a huge upgrade when it comes to the Jabra Elite 7 Active vs Jabra Elite Active 75t and you might be better off just sticking with your current earbuds.

That said, if you’re facing issues with fit and battery with your current Jabra Elite Active 75T and are thinking of suitable earbuds to replace them, getting the Jabra Elite 7 Active wouldn’t be a bad idea.
